We had a great Fourth of July party at the house with families of the youth. It was pleasant to watch the fire works all around the city as we set our own. We are happy to report all are safe.
July 18th we will be meeting again at the Holdridge's home. We will be celebrating Kaitlyn's, Josh's, and Allegra's birthday although Allegra wll be in San Diego and DisneyLand. (Allegra we will recelebrate when you get back!!!!) Rumors have it that Lela will be coming back for the occasion. We will also be meeting with Sarah after the lesson - about 7:00 and work on music for a bit. We will be discussing some ministry opportunities - a modified Park Ministry. We will also discuss who is going to download all the pictures of the last couple of months so we all can enjoy them.
July 19th - 22nd - Vacation Bible School 5:00 - 8:00. Be there to help!
IN THE WORKS:
We will be ministering in the Park in the next two weeks. Date will be determined by your availability.
August 1st we will have the opportunity to bless and be blessed by Willow Manner Nursing Home.
Remember that great movie "To Save A Life" we saw last year?? Well, we are working on something big with it. We will also be using that movie as a spring board for a number of our youth lessons. I have some great ideas. OK. Lets be honest. Someone else had great ideas and I have the super curriculum we will be using to continue to explore how Chist wants us to relate to others.
Bulletin Board Day - this needs to be in the next two weeks. SMILE. Last years party with Josh and Allegra is a little outdated don't ya think? What about the Houma trip?
Remember the awesome time we had at the Labor Day Campout? Can't - well you missed a great time. We will again be going to the campgrounds - leaving on Friday and returning on Sunday or possibly Monday for those who can't get enough of that country air.
Ready to serve? The Duck Race Barbeque is coming up on the Duck Race weekend. Remember this barbeque raises money for scholarships and other service activities so let's get ready to pitch in.
